How can one build a completely new hotel in such a short period of time, that won before opening an innovation price of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is creating furor in the central Rhine valley since its opening? The hotel business is part of his DNA, said Jan Bolland, whose family is the 4th generation of hosts since 1907. In addition he has completed international studies, decades of experience managing renowned hotel, a high degree in discipline, not afraid of any risk and a family with five members in the background who always encourage him.

She is definitely a family person, connected to her home and a horse lover. No wonder that her leisure is as organized as her weekly plan as host and managing director of the Heimatzeit Hotels. She could have easily made a career in a bank, but Michelle is fascinated by the hotel world and the innovative character of an enterprise that offers her lots of possibilities to freely develop and manage with creativity.

So young and already a professional host! No wonder, as she already became assistant of the Management while she was studying  „Hotel and Restaurant Management“ in Ravensburg and working at the BollAnts Spa at the park in Bad Sobernheim. Later she became hotel manager of the Hunsrück Hideaway <THE MARIENHÖH>, followed by the next step into the management of the Papa Rhein.

She actually studied cultural studies and had entirely different career plans. Nadine got into the hotel industry through an internship and has been passionate about the industry ever since. "No working day or guest are alike - so it never gets boring."

She can no longer imagine having any other job. After various hotels on the Rhine and going through all the departments, she has now found her dream job as a hostess at PAPA RHEIN. In her spare time, she likes to test - how could it any different? Hotels.

He exchanged from Guide Michelan star cooking to an ambitious bistro cooking and has not regretted it a single bit! Nils Henkel is among Germany’s best cooks and enchants the guests at the restaurant BOOTSHAUS with elements of his famous pure-nature cuisine. Many seasonal herbs, longe forgotten local vegetables are the stars in his work. He combines the regional and world cuisine and is widely acclaimed by guests and gastronomic reviewers.

She stands for concentrated service power and is our rock in the surf - even when things get stressful. No wonder, she brings 25 years of professional experience and love: "What could be better than good food, good wine and friendly, attentive service? The passionate wine connoisseur leads her young team with loving rigour. When Tanja is not at the hotel, family comes first. Her son Philipp and adopted dog Anubis are happy to receive her full attention.

She has a classical education as a hotel administrator and after a short detour to the reception, she quickly landed in the reservation department. Denise has remained true to her home on the Nahe river, except for 2 years on Sylt, and quickly got promoted to the position of reservations manager. She also holds this position at PAPA RHEIN, where she brings a breath of fresh air (not only) to the reservations department. In her spare  time, she is fully enjoys her role as mum, her sweet little whirlwind Elise makes sure to keep her busy.

Hard shell - soft core! He is the chef on our LIDO Deck and always up for a joke. Nevertheless, he encounters his work with great passion and the necessary seriousness. After a classical cooking education in Stromberg and various stations in Rheinhessen, we were able to win him for our Italian bistro in the PAPA RHEIN. Dominik also enjoys cooking in his private life & especially loves the cuisine of his native Country. This is just one of his many travel destinations, because in addition to cooking, he is particularly passionate about travelling.

Cleanliness and order are her profession. Maria is our housekeeper and thus the boss of the housekeeping team. She brings with her 18 years of professional experience - 17 of which she worked at the Bolland family's parent company until PAPA RHEIN enticed her with a new challenge. In her team she has 20 employees who trust in her expertise and leadership. Besides leading the team, she loves the daily challenges of her job.

"I want to be on the boards that mean the world!"   That's how Carmen began her professional career. She completed her training as a musical performer in 1996. Unfortunately, we do not know whether she also sew her own costumes with her master's certificate in tailoring. After successful years in the fashion industry, it was "Off to new shores!" for her. As a wellness and mindfulness coach, she has now found her harbour with us at PAPA RHEIN and, as spa manager, is in charge of the well-being of body & soul.
